Event Listing Guidelines
It’s FREE to promote your Sonoma County entertainment, art, or recreation event
Events we include:
Events must be in Sonoma County and open to everyone.
- Live music, theater and dance performances
- Films
- Festivals
- Comedy shows
- Some recreational events, such as nature hikes and paddles
- Gallery and museum exhibit openings/receptions (but not all the days of ongoing exhibits)
- Farmers markets
- Some fundraising events*
Events we do NOT include:
- Classes, workshops, camps, except for some special one-session, non-instructional art-making events
- Ongoing exhibits (but please list exhibit opening events)
- Calls for volunteers, submissions, or auditions
- Tastings or meals, except when they accompany a performance or fundraiser*
- Meetings
- Services (for example: instruction, coaching, wellness or therapeutic activities)
- Retail events (for example: grand openings, sales, demos. Holiday craft fairs** are the only exception)

*Fundraisers: The primary function of the event is to raise funds for a non-proft charity, which receives all proceeds beyond expenses.
**Craft fairs: Items for sale are created by local artisans.
