Holiday Concert at Oakmont’s Berger Center

The New Horizons Band of Sonoma County presents the first of its holiday concerts on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 PM at Oakmont’s Berger Center. Enjoy African drums, African American Gospel and klezmer music Picture in your mind the most wonderful time of the year, with winter skies, an old red covered bridge and chestnuts roasting on an open fire. In addition to America the Beautiful, you will hear the haunting theme that played eleven times during Ken Burns’ Civil War documentary . There will be excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and Count Basie’s re-working of a 700 year old hymn.
