The Naked Stage: A Fully Improvised Three Act Play

Sat November 22, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$25 – $30

The Naked Stage takes place on a single set, in traditional stage-play style. The improvisers play one character each, and there are no built-in transitions or scene breaks, other than a brief blackout between Act I and Act II, the end of Act II (intermission), and the end of Act III . All the actors have is the bare stage, a simple suggestion (location) from the audience, and each other.
The Naked Stage combines narrative longform improvisation with the demands and surprises of traditional theater. In a sense, the actors are “trapped” on stage with only each other. Without the usual exit options (lights and other scene-enders), they are left to fully confront the characters and situations which they have created. This show features performers from the Improv Playhouse of SF:
Mark Duncanson • Tim Orr • Lisa Rowland • Regina Saisi; with Lights & Sound by Remi Frazier
Don’t miss this thrilling, funny, witty and spontaneous show! Tickets are $25 advance, $30 at the door. Advance sales end at 4 PM day of show. Discounts for OCA members. Doors open at 6:30 PM.
